Don't know how this would affect the oxygen sensor, but the simple answer is to remove the muffler and drill holes in the baffle until you're happy.

Sorry, I somehow managed to post a question about a leaking final drive breather cap on the oilhead forum. Anyway, to repeat, I have replaced the o ring with a 12x17mm o ring and the leak continues....
