I got the dreaded right turn kill the motor problem on my 02 1150GS.
Does anybody know if all I have to do to replace part #6 in the diagram is remove Screw #7 or do I need to remove more of the...
The length of that line makes me suspicious too... what would that width and length come from on a boat that size?
Isn't it a piston style boom vang? I think it's an optical illusion that it's coming toward bow.
I think it's a fairly long boom and the length makes it look flipped.
Actually, most studies stats regarding motorcycle fatalities support early learning as a factor to outcome. I know stats can be massaged to say what you want but the "late to motorcycling" groups are...
Let's watch the motorcycle stats for this 12 and under group as they age.
I'm guessing if they can't learn early on a dirt bike at grandpas... the cost on the road later is going to be enormous. ...
It depends on distance.
I can commute to work (12 miles) all year if they don't salt.
The temp drops to sub-zero temps but with electrics and the right gear that short of distance is easy. Riding...
Thanks guys... I reset it and so far it is working fine.
I assume it clears the fault code so I'll never know why it happened??
ABS-II and Brembo made brakes. 2002 model year built late 2001
Yes it does not reset and remains flashing. Only other symptom was a louder than normal clunk-clunk from the abs when pulling away a couple of times before it's current status.
It's only one top and bottom per second. That wouldn't necessarily show at the handle sight glass would it?
The same as now flashing alternately but I could shut the bike off at the first stop and they would check off upon starting and riding like normal.
What has failed in my ABS if the lights flash alternately before starting the bike?
This was proceeded by louder than normal clunk clunk at take-off sound on the last few rides prior to failure. 02...
Actually I thought the MCN review was lacking. They used one bike and talked about how the bike "felt". Where was the long term wear and balance tests? If long haul truckers are using them based on...
I-94 to Glendive and then 200s up to Circle to 200 over to Great Falls is the fastest in my opinion. It gets really remote after Circle until you get to Lewiston (very few services).
Shocks are great, high quality and Klaus was responsive (fast) with help on the torque issue.
The bike feels brand new and corners like it never has before.
Yes, I moved three parts on top, (rubber bushing, washer and nut) and two below( rubber bushing and 1" metal pipe). I wonder why it just rotated. I guess I'll need to talk to Klaus.
Could you get the top front bolt to torque 43NM?
I just put the Hyperpros on my bike. Easy install until that top nut on the threaded rod wouldn't torque... it just turned the whole rod...
"Zydeco Gris Gris" like a hill climb or TT.
This should help.
I'm in the same boat with my '02 R1150GS.
I like the metal gas tank and that it still looks like a old style motorcycle.
Mine has 50,000 on it and needs many little things done, (suspension,...
I believe Red's dealer was probably mine for the first few years in Minnesota.
They wanted to sell all other brands except BMW.
One of the service people there told me they couldn't stand BMW...
28 degrees at 7:30am. I wore my Kanetsu vest and had my grips on high.
I passed a guy on a unscreened Harley at an intersection turning onto the freeway wearing a leather jacket and a half helmet......
I have a Civic and a Element. I want a Transalp!!!
