    Matching paint.

Is this your main problem with K1600 bikes?
    Really?
If so, get yourself a Goldwing, with two antennas, white snickers, blue jeans and squashed stuffed animals in the top case - problem solved....
  2. Same problem recurring after 11 months

My 2013 RT is acting up again.
Recently, I lost R/S turn signal (it works intermittently) and on top of that my starter switch is doing the same thing. Some times it takes several tries and finally...

    Broken bolt.

Sounds like you exceeded adjustment range, and still kept rotating bolt until the plastic head seperated itself from the metal threaded bolt.
Possibly you can remove the headlight assembly and try...

Dealers charge about $600.00 for setup/PDI and similiar amount of money for first time service which include headlight alignment.
Unfortunately in my case every new BMW motorcycle I ever purchased...
  6. RT luggage rack.

I realize that this is the WC forum, but 2013 RT's luggage tray looks very similar. Because I could't buy an RT specific rack and like some people, I did not want to scuff the paint. I made myself...

    Oil change.

I totally agree, all my vehicles with synthetic and mineral oil get the change at every 3K miles, (the ONLY exception I make is if I travel from coast to coast - then I change it at 6K).
    Some people...

    RT Vs. RT.

It seems like BMW traded one headache for another...
On my '09 RT the fuel strip failed and now on '13RT the L/S multifunction switch took a poop. Thankfully BMW fixed both problems under warranty...

    Wet clutch on new RT.

I've known of the coming disappearance of air cooled engines for some time.
A few months ago I took the new water boxer GS for a road test in order to see how the next RT may feel with the new and...

    New RT.

I don't care much for the electronic gizmos and the wet clutch, nevertheless it's probably the most beautiful BMW motorcycle yet.
Unfortunately seems like 2013 RT was the last BMW motorcycle with...

    RT or GS?

Just like most of us I have some experience riding both of these bikes, and currently I moved from 2012 R1200GSA to 2013 R1200RT.
Besides the obvious I apreciate the lower first gear ratio on the...
