The winter additives to help cut pollution in the dryer colder months i feel is to blame for the loss of the fuel efficency from the 'winter' fuels

I live at 7000ft in Colorado and ride regualarly to 10,000 plus and i find that in my 02 1150GS (with 96K on it) that i get the best fuel efficency with 91 oct... though at time here do to the prices...

Many other countrys in Euro and espeically Australia have 98Oct... when i lived in Australia i use what Shell Petrol called Optimax which is 98 Octane... got very good running out of in in my 00...

Started to experience some odditity in a wierd waving of the needle at about 85k on a 02 1150GS... my local tech though that the cable was about to go... at 96K now and still no real problems.. ...
