    Akrapovic on an oilhead?

Anybody tried an Akrapovic slip-on muffler on their oilhead.? IF so, I'd be interested in knowing how they like it. How about the effect on performance (if any), quality/volume of sound, does it...

    Moto GP televised?

I tried to watch the Qatar GP on Sunday, but Speed TV broadcast only the 250. Was the main race televised anywhere?

model in the BMW lineup, let's hope they don't overstyle its successor (if any). Of course if they do, the 50Rs will be the the "classics".

I had a 98 R1100R with the stock BMW windshield, which was rock-solid, optically clear, and absolutely deafening. I used a Saeng Winglet on it, which helped, but not enough. Now I ride a 2002...

I'm 5' 11' on a 2002 R1150R with the touring screen, and it works fine for me. You'll always get some noise with a screen you're looking over, but I find the touring screen to provide relatively...

    ABS -- Not

I had ABS on my old R1100R, but declined it on my R1150R. ABS is definitely worthwhile, but IMO power brakes on a motorcycle are not. As noted in an article in this month's OTL, with the new...

    I have a Sargent on my R1150R

and find it excellent. An additional advantage with the Sargent is that you don't have to send them your seat pan. Just take the seat out of the box and click into place just like the stock seat.

    R1200GS recall

The 2005 R1200GS is the subject of NHTSA recall no. 04V297: the ABS sensor sealing O-ring connection at the rear axle housing. Potentially 99 units.

It sounds like the fuel sys recall problem

Many oilhead owners (including me) have experienced a fuel leak only on cold start-up. In my case it was damaged quick-disconnects from the fuel tank. That and the crimp-type fuel line lamps are...
