    Sticky: I still miss her.

Traded her in @ 96,000 miles. Her name was wildfire.
    She replaced Starfire at 163,000 miles. (A 1985 K100.)
Now I am old. I needed a lighter bike. We now ride Campfire, a F800ST.

    Riding in Ohio

I was going to ask if you have been on Ohio 800 when I see that you mentioned it.
    It's one of my favorites.
Near Zainesville is the "National Road Museum." I found it interesting.

    Great ride report.

Thanks for the videos E/W music.

    We did it!

My wife and I rode two up Orlando to San Francisco on our 2008 F800ST, twice.
I rode the same route solo in four and a half days; no problem.
We are both in our late 70's.

    Fine for 5' 9"

My F800St low was delivered with, I believe to be, the lowest of three seats available from BMW. I like the low frame but the seat was awful. After only 100 miles I said "There is no way we will be...

    "buttons"

If you need to replace the buttons I would consider reusing the old washers. I could not believe the price of plain old flat washers.
It gave new meaning to "If you wanna' play you gotta' pay.

    I've ridden a little ways

Have 300,000 K bike miles. The tires I like best are AVON.
I've used Dunlop. Got twice the miles on 205's as on 220's.
