You will know right away if its different.

I made mine out of tube and stick like the one above. It works on all my bikes even my Kawasaki twin.

How many miles?

The first thing to check is ignition timing. Some folks turn the igniter plate to full advance.

Mine was full of carbon. Had 185 Psi compression on both sides at 130,000...

I think its oil.

Fuel burns black.
Oil smoke is blue.

Smell it. Oil or gas?

Black spark plugs right after start up is not that big of a deal. The engine runs much richer for cold start....

Before you do anything. Was the bike parked on the side stand after long hard run?

Boxers can have oil seep into the cylinder if left on the side stand and conditions...

Poor spark be it coil or plug could cause the bike to break down on hard acceleration. Bucking would be the result of one cylinder kicking in and out.

This is the problem I had wiht Z6 on my RT. The rear wears in the center and there are no wear bars there.

This is the Z8 off my R1200R always kept at factory recommended pressure f 42 psi after...

So far Camhead in spec, 6,000 miles. I don't expect it to change.
