You can replace just the mirror. Here are the part numbers:
Left - 466 323 13721
Right - 466 323 13722
MSRP was $25.50 last year (DAMHIK).
Found the sweaty T-shirts I wore at the National. Contacted the local HazMat team. Received paperwork - still filling it out. :nyah
Upper left - High beam indicator (blue)
Upper right - Battery charging indicator (red)
Lower left - Neutral indicator (green)
Lower right - Oil pressure indicator (orange)
The charge indicator...
I've got a map from the state of Iowa that shows "dotted" roads (scenic byways), but no roads south of I-80 and west of I-35 are designated scenic byways. The closest scenic byway is US 30 from...

I haven't had to take the tupperware off my '04 RT, yet, but I've already made a...
For reference, here is a pic of the price sheet attached to a new RT on the showroom floor last Friday.

Or, you could make your own. Last version I heard of used fishing line leaders.
Hmmm...Hudson, WI. Would the railroad be UP, former C&NW?
Yes, but the cord is only 1320 feet long.
Actually, it runs with a special battery:
Battery Pack Specs
ÔÇó312 volts, nominal
ÔÇó624 thin-metal-film, lead-acid cells made by Bolder...
I had my '73 R75/5 into triple digits (I think the statute of limitations has expired ;) ). A Motorcyclist Magazine review of the R80/7 from '78 indicated a quarter-mile top speed of 96.66 mph...
Loraz, your pics of the bike appear to show gray with a blue pinstripe. Has your bike already been repainted?
FWIW, "BMW Motorcycles" by Darwin Holmstorm and Brian Nelson has a couple of pics of...
Depending on where you are starting from in MI, you may want to take the ferry across the Lake instead of fighting Chicago traffic. Either way, I suspect you'll be making miles on I-90 thru MN and...
Tom, Thanks for the link. I noted the R-bike maintenance schedule on Irv Seaver's site has an '02 print date, while the one I downloaded from the BMW site has an '03 date. A quick comparison didn't...
My '04 RT maintenance manual indicates that maintenance schedules can be accessed at www.bmw-motorrad.com/maintenance . For the last few months it redirects to a response, "Unfortunately we cannot...
FWIW, the '04 RT Maintenance Instructions specify maximum oil consumption as 2350 mpg (1 L/1000 km). That works out to 1 quart per 588 miles. Since your bike is over the maximum specified, you...
Shep,
Here's a similar problem reported on the BMW Sport Touring board:

FWIW, Matt Parkhouse's "keep em' flying" column had a brief introduction on adding two inches to his 1970 R60/5 in the June '04 issue of BMWON, with a description of the process in the July issue. ...
Tom,
BMWNA, or any BMW dealer, should be able to tell you about any and all recalls affecting your bike if you give them the VIN. That's what my dealer did before I rode off on my '04 RT.
My wife got the mail yesterday and told me I received a BMW magazine. I thought that was strange 'cause it was too early for the next issue of BMWON. Turned out it was the BMW Magazine from BMWNA....
Finally, here's the neutral/ground connector. As noted by others, any good frame ground should be adequate, just like when jump-starting a four-wheeler.
Here's one with the cover off showing the actual connector. BTW, the red wire provides power to my cycle alarm (giving, as Ben said). The ground wire to the alarm is attached to a neutral frame...
Trying again!
Here's the positive terminal with the cover on (if I can get the attachment to work!).
Hmm...not working. It's a 26.6K jpeg file, and it does appear in my uploaded images in my UserCP. I did get...
Wow, that was fast. :wow Thanks, Ben!
