I've had /6 and /7 airheads and got my 100,000 mile pin on those bikes. Now I have a 1992 RT and I prefer it for these reasons:
Electronic ignition, no more fiddling with points/condenser....

With the good advice here, I'll wait until my next tire change, then have the bearings checked.
Bikerfish, I know the place of which you speak, so I will certainly go there when it's time for new...

1992 R100RT with 51,300 miles with the sealed front wheel bearings. Don't feel or hear anything funny when I spin the wheel. I'm assuming since they are sealed, they can't be greased. ...
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure the instrument bulb circuit board for any year airhead is available anymore. I think it's NLA (no longer available) If available, it would be found...
