[QUOTE=tburt1969;430667]Here's my new ride, well almost. Deposit is down, sold sign is on it. All I have to wait for is the snow to melt. I'm married to a good woman, it's my 40th birthday present. After watching Long Way Round and Down with her, she told me to go get it.
More pics when it's home in the garage.
Cheers

If you watched Long Way Round and Down how come your not buying one of the GS1150/GS1200. The entire time I was watching those shows I kept thinking, "Why are they trying to ride those pigs when the 650's would be a 1000% better.:D
Why didn't I buy a 1200GS..... besides the fact I didn't want to spend $20K plus on a bike, the 650 is perfect for 95% of the riding I'll be doing, and it's better offroad.
In a few years when I get the chance to do some long distance touring, I'll add a 1200GS to the barn.

Here my X Challenge taking a break during the BMW MOA Rally in TN this year. The X did well on this trip logging 1230 miles total round trip including rides in the area.
I've attached a photo of my 650 XC with it's new Corbin among other farkles. The Corbin has changed the bike for me. I used to get lower back pain because the stock saddle had zero support. At first, the Corbin feels very firm, but after awhile the support is really nice.
