You don't really want to do a rally at the Crossroads. Movies always make it look like a desolate spot, but in reality the famous intersection is sorrounded by Zippy Marts and McDonalds'es and such. Poor Old Scratch won't know how to find us with all that commerce going on.
ok....that's sort of true. Didn't take in what you say but we did have an interesting 'encounter' at the crossroads. Ya...I agree...maybe not the crossroads but I do want to say that we did enjoy Mississippi (damn! it was good to get really fine coffee as we crossed into Mississippi 'from a bordering State'). Travel, it sure does help to break down stereotypes. We still vote for southern Cal. in '07. -Bob

MOA Rally
While I haven't confirmed it yet, I plan on riding to the rally from Central California. I plan on stopping at a few national parks along the way before reaching Wisconsin.
I'm curious if there are others that will be riding east from California so that I may hookup with them enroute. I probably won't be coming back right away as I plan to visit relatives just east of Buffalo, NY.

MOA Rally
I was looking at riding from SF to the rally, most likely taking US50.
If there are others it would make the ride much more enjoyable.

I would suggest US-50 throught Nevada, Utah. Then I-70 past Denver, CO.
After that get on US-36 going east.
Its much better than US-50 through Kansas, Missouri.

Thanks for the suggestion, how far is it on I-70? i don't want to do much interstate, the R60/5 does not do interstates to well!
