83 R100RS - Cover Recommendations?

Anyone out there have a nice affordable bike cover that they can recommend? Sandy's gone but winter's coming!

I was at Home Depot over the weekend and their moving supplies department had moving blankets for about $14. Their nicely padded and I was thinking about using one on my airhead.

I've had two Dowco covers on my bikes for 6-7 years. No sign of deterioration. No regrets.:thumb

I've a DowCo cover too. Had it many years; first rate quality. However, when I'm on the road, it's much to heavy to haul along. A light nylon or poly cover is a very nice thing to have when you're touring. They are not bomb proof like the DowCo, but they are cheap and travel well. Think Cycle Gear or EBay, but there are lots of options.

Good time to plug for Aerostitch...

Have had one of their covers for four years, has held up great outdoors. And it packs up the size of your fist and weighs a few ounces. Almost like its made out of parachute silk (or the modern synthetic equivalent). Mine travels with me in the bike, no problem.

For what it's worth I went with the DOWCO. Seems very nice, although I have not attempted to fold/zip it back up yet. We'll see how that works out tomorrow morning...

Don't waste your time trying to fold it, just stuff it back into the bag. And don't forget NOT to pack it wet or damp if it's to be stored for any length of time.
