Valentine One/Motorrad Nav. IV Bluetooth
I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but a Google search didn't find any new or helpful information.
I just bought a 2012 R1200GSA, and the BMW incentive for June, July and August is a free Nav. IV. I don't know a whole lot about it, but from what I have been told and read it does support stereo Bluetooth. I have a Valentine One that I would love to connect to my helmet via Bluetooth along with the Nav. IV, and I'd like to also connect my iPhone. I have a J&M Bluetooth headset installed in my helmet. Here is a drawing of what I am envisioning.
Does anyone have any idea how I can do this?
What are your thoughts on bluetooth enabled radar detectors?
Escort has SmartRadar, which has a bluetooth capabity to integrate with a smartphone, as does Cobra (iRadar)...
Do you think they can be set up such that they CHIRP and/or give alerts via bluetooth (and not thru their own speakers)?
All I am looking for is an integrated way for a radar detector to CHIRP thru my Sena SMH10. The thought of having a dedicated bluetooth sending device, or worse, and bluetooth blinky light in my helmet that needs to be recharged separately makes me cringe.
Which begs the question... why cant they make an integrated GPS, sat radio and radar detecting unit? I would buy that.
Here's another attempt at what I would like...
But again, not perfect.
The Escort Passport IQ is a combo GPS navigation device and radar detector.
I wrote Escort to ask if they could develop a m/c specific version:
d) m/c mount
e) a good OS that could manage the various bluetooth devices (phone, ipod, etc..)
and possibly even XM like the 665...
Would anyone else like everything bundled in one simple package?
