Glider antics at former RAF Biggin Hill
Went to an airshow back in 2006 at what was once RAF Biggin Hill outside London. There was a glider aerobatic act on the schedule. Didn't notice at first the tow plane was an Extra 300 until he rolled inverted while pulling the glider. Not long after, they were BOTH inverted....darnedest thing I have ever seen at an airshow.
Update on Darryl's Chief Flying Instructor
I learned to fly in the summer of 1969 on a scholarship in St. Catharines Ontario
Canada and my Chief Flying Instructor was Leon Evans.
Here is a picture of Leon at his new job flying 1 of 2 Lancasters still flying in the world.
Not a bad retirement job eh!
This will be an experience of a lifetime
