Holly,
I am a member of CVMG....I actually parked beside you a last year at the Paris Rally with my Nighthawk. You had the Virago that day...
I have walk my dogs at the Dundas Conservation area in the past when I lived in Flamborough...Stick around the city now as the dogs are older and perfer shorter walks.

Small world, Celeste. I'll be looking for you in Paris next year, and I'm sure it was you I met in the conservation area. I wouldn't forget those names for the dogs. The dogs are gorgeous even if they are getting older. I'll bet they keep you in shape, even on shorter walks.

Yes handsome dogs... in the close ups they almost look normal sized! :) Thanks for sharing!
I used to have dogs, now I have grandchildren... somebody else gets them for overnight duty, so I can travel...
-
to give you a sense of their size....
Charlie is 30" at the shoulder and weighs 115 lbs
Grendel is 33" at the shoulder and weighs 145 lbs
Beowulf is 35" at the shoulder and weighs 175 lbs...
Yes travel can get expensive when I have to take boarding fees into consideration.

I also had a friend that walked the conservation area as well. She had two female Wolfhounds...could have been her as well.
See you in Paris nextyear or maybe on the road...

Hi, Voni,
Rumor has it that you also have two loves (not including your kids and grandkids) - your bike(s) and your traveling mechanic.
Hi Karol,
Yes, you are correct that a sidecar does take upper body strength to steer. However, depending on how the front end is set up can make it easier to steer. On the Duetto I really just have to apply pressure to the right or left hand grip to make most turns. I've got a steering mod on the GS so it's pretty much the same story there. I walk with crutches so I have a lot of upper body strength, so I'm probably not taking that into account. The dynamics of steering are completely different on sidecars versus 2 wheels. On a sidecar when you want to turn right, you turn right just like in a car.
If you want a better comparison I can ask my husband to chime in as he rides both.
And I do have to say I have the ultimate in luggage space! :)
Absolutely, ask your husband for his .02. Sidecar would be great for luggage, and to carry the critters.:)

An excelent point. The men (that would be me) are alway complaining about how much stuff she (my wife) is packing. If my she rode her own bike then it seems that there would be more than enough room for all the stuff. This issue is now solved.
What about squeezing the toothpaste from the middle vs. rolling up the end?
