The front wheel rim of my 2004 R1150RT (5-spoke, silver) is dented (not so badly that it can't be dynamically balanced, and I've put quite a few miles on it without losing air, but it makes me a bit nervous and I'd like to replace it). So the question is, where to go for reliable use parts? Beemer Bonyard doesn't have any of this wheel available. I've searched the forum for "used parts" but the search engine just finds posts containing "parts". Suggestions for other suppliers?

Pinwall (http://stores.ebay.com/PinWall-Cycle-Parts-Inc) has used parts. No wheel for you right now but worth checking. I used them and they ship fast.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm a bit leery of buying a wheel not knowing if it's true, but maybe I'll give that guy a call.

Here's the drill

1) go to Max BMW and find the stock number for your wheel in their parts department The number is 36312333465. It also gives the price for a new wheel assembly. $861 bucks before taxes or shipping.

OUCH! Do you have full coverage on your bike? If so contact your insurance agent.

2) Go to Ebay motorcycle parts, type in R1150RT wheel. If you buy through them the part is guranteed. While you are there you determine that R1150R and R1150RS front wheels are the same, so you visit those Ebay websites, checking for prices and shipping.

3) You can also try BMW websites and BMW specific websites like BMWST for your RT

Guess it's time I joined the 21st century (or even the late 20th century!) and learned how to use eBay. Thanks!
