Great story - would have liked to have had more shots of his collection - the list is amazing, starting with 1924 models!

I was hoping for more pictures also. I did a quick search and founa a couple sites with pictures of this collection of BMWs.

Thank you for that link. Very interesting. Too bad the guy who wrote the article couldn't figure out that the 1953 ISDT R68 which likely did win the ISDTthat year on the IOM; but didn't win the IOM TT

Wow! It's too bad that the collection can't be maintained in one piece. It's a shame to break it apart. The maintenance on that many bikes would be a full-time job ÔÇö even if they're rarely, if ever, ridden.

Maybe he ran out of money around 1996. :bikes

Doing a quick spread sheet of the prices the collection is estimated to be worth between :
$841,918 and $109,0474

Euro being valued at $1.54

Perhaps his hiers are only selling part of the collection and are off riding the ones they are keeping.
