fuel weeping at 90 degree qd, appears to be female half which I'm being told is not replaceable, must replace "flange", which is not replaceable, must replace entire fuel pump assembly to the tune of $460. How can I confirm if it is not the easily replaced male half instead of the female half which is on bottom. If the upper (male) half is the culprit, it would leak down onto the female half. Anyone have experience with this problem? Iron Horse and Victory both say they have only seen one or two. This is my first real issue in 68k, shouldn't complain, but damn it!!! $460.00 for an entire assembly I don't really need.

Check the o-ring carefully for any nicks or tears. These can easily be damaged when mating the connections without ensuring the release is fully retracted and will cause a leak.

Put a very light coating of petroleum jelly on the o-ring to ease assembly.

If it's OK it could only be cracked. Yikes $460!
