Hi, have Jim Von Baden DVD on the hexheads and wonder how much difference there is between the '05 GS servo and later year (07RT)brakes for bleeding.

I think it's significant. I don't have any of the earlier bikes, but my understanding is that the Gen II ABS on the newer RT's is much simpler and is supposed to be bled just like ordinary non-ABS brakes.

+1 - happily for those of us who own '07 and newer hexheads - brake service is greatly simplfied. I don't believe we have a DIY for a brake-fluid-flush yet - but perhaps if we ask SemperFi nicely he can be convinced to do one.. :clap

Start to finish is was about an hour and a half.

If you dont take pictures and notes you can probably do it in under an hour. :whistle

If you are not changing pads and just flushing the fluid, remember the orginal fluid level.

I missed it a bit and had some minor spillage.

The min/max marks inside the master cylinder is for new pads versus warn pads to be changed out.
