I sort of feel like titling this thread -
You know you own a bmw bike when...

I won't go there but will say $100 for a power plug so I can update/install maps to my bmw motorrad navigator II gps is an ungodly price in my book.

Guess I will have to see if the gentlemen that sold me the used r1200rt 2005 can let me come use his power plug if he has one.

I do have a 500mb compactflash card in the gps but thinking, since this gps does not seem to have ever had the software installed (it cannot zoom in beyond a certain point and display street names), I will have to have a power cord to install the city navigator nt nove III update from my laptop I installed it on to get it on the gps. Seems the older nav II models needed the power to the gps for the laptop to talk to it.

Any suggestions save for 'buyer beware' ?
