Is there and easy way to do this or do you have to pull the front wheel & fork brace off and muscle them up the yolks individually ? (the hard way)

It might be helpful if we knew what bike you're talking about...

On many of the K models - simply loosening the triple-tree clamp bolts and then putting some weight on the wheel is adequate to move fork tubes up in the clamps (assuming this is what you're talking about).

The advantages to leaving the fork brace one and the wheel on are several:

1. You don't have to put them back on when done
2. They help to keep the forks aligned

When done with the job - you should still do a top-down alignment of the front end (unless you like stiction and a harsh front end)..

Loosen ALL bolts (not remove - just loosen) except the top triple-tree bolts. These should be torqued to spec.

Take bike off centerstand and sit on it - BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE. Then very gently lean it on the sidestand without twisting or moving the front end (it's even better to do this with someone else - who holds the bike upright and down as far as they can for the last bounce, while you tighten things..)

Then tighten the lower triple-tree clamp-bolts.

BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE - and tighten any cross-brace bolts.

BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE - tighten the left side axle bolts - the center one first, then the two clamping bolts

BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE - tighten the right side axle clamp bolts.

The forks are now aligned..

BTW - in reality - the last few steps should be done every time the wheel is removed and replaced.. you WILL notice a difference.
