I recently picked up a '85 K100RT with 24,000 miles and I'm having the usual problems of the glass fogging and the speedo needle "dipping" not to mention the fuel lights and the brakelight failure light comes (stays) on.

Could this be covered under warrenty yet even though the bike is nearly 19 years old?

Wasn't there a service bulletin for a fix through BMW on this?

Welcome to the Board, and congratulations on your purchase. I am sure you will love it.

I'm afraid the closest thing you will get to a warrenty repair is E-bay. It's, as you stated, a very common problem that BMW has managed to dodge since they ceased production on the older K bikes in the mid 90's. :cry
