This will be the third year we've met mid-winter in New Glarus, WI to eat, drink and be merry. I'm thinking the weekend of the 19th of January again.

Will you be yodeling again?

Here's another idea. How about a midwinter meet in Tucson?

I suggest you ride due south toward Louisiana first to get out of the snow, and then head west thru Texas to southern Arizona.

This I could actually do. Plenty of beer, but no brats!

Will you be yodeling again?

That was one of my favorites.
And it's not easy to do.
I tried it and I keep forgetting the words.

I have no idea at this point if I'll be able to make it or not.

But I sure enjoyed the first New Glarus weekend! (http://vegomatic.smugmug.com/gallery/1150643#P-1-15)

Just returned from Potosi and conferred with James A. and the IW and I believe that would be a great time, so consider at least me IN.

Tentatively "in". Maybe my not-so-imaginary wife as well. This just looks like too much fun to miss.

The NG weekend is very free-form. I can say with confidence that no one will judge you if you would rather be 'Cheesey' than 'Merry.' :brow

Not certain I will make it in time for the Friday night fish fry. Put it in my planner for the rest of the weekend.

Yes - I need to post the 'official' thread, but basically it will be the same weekend and the same deal as last year. And the year before.

Sorry if that is boring for anyone, but there is a lot to do in the NG area even if you don't like sitting around talking about bikes. :)

Hey...eating and drinking and merry is not boring. Then add to that the mustard and the yodeler from Milwaukee...

Based on Manics advice and if Mrs2beers is healed up enough I think we will be there. RV, can you give me a quick PM with the hotel info? Or will that be posted later?

See you all there!!!

Gah!! The weekend of the 19th is Winterfest and the Chalet Landhaus is totally booked!!!

We need to switch to the weekend of the 26th or we'll have to camp....... :)

This will be party central again. It is full service and within walking/stumbling distance of everything. They have a nice lobby with a fireplace. Breakfast is included. No, I am not reserving a block of rooms ÔÇô reservations are entirely on your own. Yes, there are other lodging options in the area but this place was great. IÔÇÖll see if we can get them to keep the bar open later this year.

the new weekend is my imaginary wife's imaginary grandmother's 100th birthday. I can't miss that. Maybe next year.
Terribly sorry to have to bail out.
All the best, James A...
