I needed a place to charge my iPod and Blackberry and one day in the future my iPhone.
I tried a tank bag and didn't like it scuffing my paint and it was in the way while riding and fueling up.
I tried the Touratech handle bar bag and it drooped down.
After looking at the Pelican site I figured the waterproof 1030 Micro Case would mount nicely to my Wunderlich bar risers into mounting screw holes. (Glad I paid the extra $15 for the upgraded bolts)
I added iPod power with a Monster cable I bought for $7 online. I still have to add the Blackberry power adapter. I'm going to make a 12V DC to 5V DC converter or use the guts out of a car adapter from ebay. Power source is from the BMW GPS power port on the steering stem. I drilled holes in the bottom of the case to run the wires through. There's lots of extra wire showing because I haven't hooked up the wires yet. The black matches the bike perfectly, the case does not block my view of the gauges and ignition key is not affected.
