I need a tankbag for my R1200ST and am looking for recommendations. The BMW tankbags for the airheads, K75, K100, K1100 were all overpriced but worth it due to the exceptional fit on the tank, expandable / add on sections, see thru map top, etc. The BMW tankbag for my K1200RS sucked. Besides lacking all the previous great design features it wouldn't even stay put on the interstate. I'm leary about buying a BMW tankbag for the R1200ST. I'd like a small one to hold my cell phone, trail mix, small camera, compact rain gear. In other words the essential stuff you need on a long trip immediately. I also like the map pocket on top to clearly see my large handwritten travel instructions. It also needs to stay put at 80 mph.

Any recommendations? Also does anyone want a R1200RS tankbag cheap? (sold the bike). Please include beemermark@verizon.net in your replies.

I've been buying Bagster stuff for my bikes for ages. You get a tank bra that's custom fitted for the bike and then use one of their bags by clipping it on. The bag is quickly removable for gas and stays securely in place at a lot more than 80 mph. (I've got a set on my R1100RS that is in Germany, and it's done plenty of time on the autobahn.)

I bought the bra for my ST and it fits well, but has two webs that are held down by a couple of the fairing screws. It has molded to the shape of the tank surprisingly well!

Now I can use the same bag from my R90S on the RS and the ST.

They have revamped their line of bags. The older ones had a huge map pocket and an integrated rain cover.

Searching the web I can't find a US distributor. DOes the bra cover the whole tank or just the mid section?

Yes, I see the address on the French Web site. They have a US distributer. Do they have any dealers? Or do I have to buy it direct from the distributer who doesn't even have a web page.

I'm leary about buying a BMW tankbag for the R1200ST.

I am satisfied with my BMW R1200ST bag. Very stable, easy on off at gas fill up. Very waterproof. Good clearance with hand controls when expanded. Nice map pocket. A little pricey but integrates so well.
