View Full Version : K100RS bodywork interchangability
I just bought a '91 K100RS that has had the fairing (upper, sides, mirrors) and grill rearranged by an apparently blind SUV driver. I'm looking for used replacements. I've found some K1100RS parts reasonably cheap and am wondering if they are interchangable. I have to replace all the plastic except the chin spoiler/belly pan and the battery covers. Any advice on interchangability is appreciated.

Fairing uppers, windscreens, internal decorative pieces (including kneepads, I think), and mirrors are common between the K100RS and the 1100RS. I think they also use the same radiator cover and grille, although the 1100 piece is unpainted.
The lowers are different, gas tanks are different, handlebars and ignition key area are different, and side panels are different.
Luckily, there's plenty of parts out there for both models.
