aux fuel cell mounting

I want to add an aux fuel cell to a 96 r1100rt and was wondering if anyone can give me some info on this. I talked to a mech and he and I seem to think it can be y'd into the return fuel line after the pressure relief valve. I have a fuel pump from the aux tank to pump the fuel to?????
