I am going to take a trip to the Silver State Classic open road race in Ely, Nevada in May and I was trying to figure out whether it is quicker from LA to go through Bishop or go through Las Vegas. Obviously the trip through Bishop would be prettier. As it turns out it is about an hour longer to go through Bishop at posted speed limits. We will probably go up through Bishop and back through Vegas.
