I have an '05 R1200GS. I want to add the following to it, and am looking for insights/feedback from MOA members. I am hoping to pick up equipment that bolts/snaps in with no modifications, and does not have a negative impact on either the CANBUS or linked brakes. I live in Canada, so I am not willing to order from anywhere except Canada or the USA (IMO the shipping charges would be too high).

- LED turn signals (I already have clear lens covers)
- LED brake light replacement/clear lens cover
- Lite Buddys or Hyperlites

Any info on products, vendors or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

A couple GS1200 owners I know have already replaced "tail lite and turn signal units" with aftermarket LED's and report nothing negitive with the change.
"Touretech" online has many of these options.
Feel free to "spend spend spend" !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :type

I am using the Gizmo Mills BRAKE! LED tail light, I am using the stock lens cover and see no reason to change. The light is very bright and can be set for different flash rates.

I'm getting ready to order the taillight LED too for my 12gs and from the homework I've done it should work just fine.

I did an Internet Search on "Gizmo Mills Brake LED" and was referred to BMW Dean's (http://bmwdean.home.att.net/r1200gs.htm) page. Dean had a link to Gizmo Mills, which appears to have changed its name to Homebody Designs (here is the new URL: http://www.homebody-design.com/catalog/catalog.html).

I sent some email back and forth with Francis at Homebody to discover that they are based out of Victoria, BC. This is amazing for a fellow Canadian since shipping costs and duty will be lower, and I won't have to pay BC's provicnial sales tax.

I will be ordering my BRAKE! LED from Homebody on Monday.

I have also found a clear tailight lens cover from BMW of Santa Cruz County (http://www.bmwscruz.com/Merchant2/index.html) that I will be ordering shortly.

Doug,

Their after-the-sale service to resolve a minor problem was great, too.
