Connected the helmet cam on a local ride up a deep and steep historical canyon. Found some 1890 pics of the canyon. Departure is from the driveway. Destination is the old townsite of Sphinx Park in "Elk Creek Canon" and an old mountain bar called the Bucksnort Saloon. Open weekends :).

Temps in the 30's, high clouds, Mary Chapin Carpenter tune accompanies.

From a high flying bird, looking down on the area. Labels are noted in the vid. Rode past Pine Grove to Buffalo Creek, for no place to buy batteries for the dying bullet cam, hoping the old 1898 train depot had them. Clerk had some behind a dusty cabinet, under some papers. As I left, she closed the depot to escort an old nearby resident to his cabin.

Wow that was very cool thanks for posting it! Nice bike too, a perfect combination indeed. What kind of cam and video equipment were you running if I may ask?

Thanks

Hey thanks! It was a fun and exploring ride. Would not want to go down this particular canyon during a minor temblor :uhoh.

Placed a Samsung SCX-105L bulletcam on the helmet. Has its opportunity areas (like limited storage and battery life), but it is nice and compact and it is very good for look around GS rides.

The canyon in 1890...

See PMs, and how about this for a big first step, and the camera doesn't capture the deep 400ft. ravine in front!
