Equalizing the fuel level in GS tank

I have read somewhere on a way to keep the fuel level equal on both sides of the GS tank by installing a siphon to the left side. (Also a way to weld taps on the bottoms of each side but don't want to go that route.)

I couldn't find it on IBMWR.

Anyone done it and/or know where I might find info on the procedure? I'm tired of having to do the "lean" on the side of the road to get it to the next exit.
