Here I am in the great state of Minnesota where it should be snowing and blowing. Since it has been unseasonably warm and the snowmobiles have been sitting, I paid a little visit to the dealer today and left with new(2005) R1200RT. Got what I felt was a great deal. ESA, Graphite color and a tank bag. I am giving up a great bike in my 1200GS yet I feel I am needing the extra protection and I like the boxer engine. Called the wife while I was at the dealer and she said, " I think you should get it". Huh? What a wonderful woman and she doesn't even like to ride!

Any tips on marketing a 1200GS, Red, BMW tank bag, spokes, no ABS and extra Cee Bailey's screen?

The hardest part now is waiting............... :thumb

you could give the ibmwr marketplace a try, it's heavily frequented by people looking for used beemers

IBMWR MARKETPLACE (http://www.ibmwr.org/market/)

congrats on the new bike :german

:wow Congratulations! You won't be disappointed. Have had mine for a few months now and think all the time of the good choice I made. Went for a day ride yesterday (400 miles) and hated to end the day. One of the good points to living in California. Now, if I didn't have to work........

Be careful what you ask for Hanshauf. I am fighting to keep my new R1200RT because I lost my job in December. I've god a good lead on a great job so it's out of my hands right now. Living in South Carolina has its advantages. It's supposed to be 71 tomorrow & sunny. Got a ride planned with a friend. Enjoy your bike & your job. :stick

It was 81 in San Antonio yesterday afternoon, and a cloudless sky. Great ride on my RT. Congrats on yours, I hope you are as happy with it as I am with mine. Hope you get to put in some serious miles soon.

I'm very lucky to have both the R1200RT and GS. Different bikes both great. Use the RT for long rides and in cold weather. Use the GS for shorter rides and especially in hot weather and when exploring the local county roads which frequently turn into dirt. 10,500 on RT and 4,000 on GS in a little less than a year. Both bikes are wonderful, traded my LT to get them. Shed 300 pounds and gained power and agility. (more fun)
Installed the Aeroflow fairing on the GS, makes a huge difference in protection and wind buffeting.

Congratulations on the knew bike, you are very lucky. I would suggest that if possible you keep the GS, as I have always regreted selling a bike in the past. If you must sell it, I would do three different things. I would list it in the MOA and IBMWR market places, I would list it on ebay and thirdly I would list it in the local paper. If nobody bites right now, you may need to wait until April or May, but the MOA have such long lead times, it probably will not run until the April or May issue anyway....Good luck. :thumb
