It can get pretty hot even in VT, but one thing we have is plenty of swimming holes. Best way to find one is to look for cars parked along the road where there is a river or stream close by. Some guy recently wrote a book on them!
So wear your bathing suit under your riding gear just in case. There are even a few "cloths optional" sites for the not-so-modest riders.

Do clothing optional swimming holes and spring fed mountain water really go together?

Hello Mike,

Write up a short "ride and swim" article and send it to Muriel for publication in the ON so ALL attendees will be able to take advantage of your local knowledge, not just those on the Forum. Pictures from the "clothes optional" sites would be an added bonus.....maybe. :laugh

I would have fit right in with the typical body size I saw....

And doing it "sans" clothes would have scared away most riders...

The operative word was "cannonball"

This ain't So Cal Jim Bud. We need that extra padding to make it through the cold months. In many parts of VT cannolballing is a high school varsity sport. We don't care what you look like - just don't be "messin" in our streams while you swim.

its about being happy with your body,
not so much about wanting to show it off.

don't ask me how I know, however I'm happy with my body. Nobody else seems to be though.

My very first National Rally was Rutland, Vermont 1978 and it was 104 degrees on one of the days there, arggg. Knowing where the least clothed gals are cooling off would be a plus! I love the water :)

Secret satellite photo technology. Why do you think we encourage nude bathing? :wave
