i get nervous doing any sort of "adventure" related thing i used to do prior to this whole terrorism scare. climbing abandoned antennas, sneaking around train tunnels and dams, hiking into mountains to explore communications outposts and things like that, none of these activities is looked upon too highly anymore............

Guess that tells us who actually won this war on terrorism. Cant do anything anymore without the govt or law enforcement up your butt.

Marilyn,
Thanks for the link. Certainly gives us all something to think about. On the converse, when police get complacent and disregard something thinking it's only a Geocache, it could be devastating as well. With the publicity of such stories, I'm sure it will certainly be a consideration for those who mean to do harm.
But in this particular case I don't think this guy was being particularly smart... In his own words: "I wasn't thinking about terrorism when I placed it under the bridge. I was thinking about making the most extreme cache possible," he said. "I just got carried away."
A little common sense goes a long way. We're never going back to how it was before 9/11, but it'll take some longer than others to come to that realization, if ever.
