Last week connected the helmet cam and recorded a 42 mile ride down a nearby and lonely country road. Elevation is 9500ft. Hands of the clock move slowly here. Long abandoned homesteads, drafty cabins, old stables tell a 100 year story. The road bisects a semi-ghost town. Area images from 1898 are found and in the vid. Ice fishermen peer through bored holes at a small frozen lake along the way. Anyway, a wintertime ride is distilled to five minutes, from a narrow gauge train depot (Jefferson) to a breezy cemetery (Lake George).

Lotta "Wow!" factor in your video, thanks for posting it! I'd decided against getting one but now I'm tempted. What system are you using? Thanks for any info you'd care to share.

Best - Larry

Thank Larry... have two helmet cam options. One is from helmetcamera.com and the others is the Samsung SCX-105L. Used the latter for this recording for its small form factor. My recording preference is connecting a camcorder directly to the gas cap ring via a mount found at sportbikecam.com, but alas, this option doesn't work well on a bumpy, GS type of road. Plus, the higher GS console gets in the way. HTH.

Great video, those are the kind of roads that the GS's are meant for.

I still haven't yet figured out if these are GS commercials or something from the Colorado Bureau of Tourism. :-)

Nicely done. I really like the way the videos seem to keep the clarity and resolution, but aren't tremendously large in size. I have not discovered how to get my videos to have similar clarity & size properties.

Ahh, thanks for the virtual ride. The icy road was a bit scary. Now I need a ride... :brow

Nice ride! I always imagine Colorado as mountains and woods. This blew my mind.

WOW! ... (big sigh) ... That is just beautiful, again. Thanks. Great music, too. I hope you felt as good during the ride as we do watching it.

Dan... It was one of those peaceful, no obligations back at home, look around, ponder things, then empty the mind, snack at the c-store, no hurry rides. Ahhhhhhhh.
