I finally figured out how to update the GPS , but now I have a situation i cannot clear up.
When I turn the unit on all I want is a clear screen, however when the map page comes up there is a statement on top of the map stating "Ready to Navigate ". I can't seem to get rid of that statement. It remains there even if I click "stop navigation".
Has this something to do with the new s/w or am I doing something wrong. I really want the whole screen to be just a map.

thanks
Mac

When your in the map screen, push menu and select "hide directions". That should get rid of the bar on top.

HTH

When you have your screen on select the options menu for this screen and then deselect "Show Nav Status" and if you really don't want anything like MPH or other info select "Hide Data Fields" you will be left only a map.

This is from an E-Trex but should be the same info and methods.

Good Luck

Thanks to the both of you for answering my question, it was about to drive me nuts. Sometimes I don't have to drive very far.
I did just as Karasek told me and like magic it was gone.

thanks
