Since there isn't an "Introduce Yourself" section here (:idea )...

I am new to road riding and BMW's. Bought my first road bike this spring. A R75/7 with 53'000km on her. Have riden dirt bikes at a recreational level for years.

'Purple Haze' sports an inverse S paint job with purple being the predominant colour with silver accents and at the knee indents on the tank. Looks much better than it sounds! Dual disc dealer option package, stock everything else. Sat in the original owner's garage, second owner rode and maintained her very well, I am her third rider.

Done some day trips around Manitoba so far. Wanted to get to know her before heading out for longer journeys. Doing the wrenching myself with the excellent help of some Airhead guru's. She's a joy to work on and we seem to be getting along well! ;)

Anyway, I'll be around off and on for a while :wow as I take every other week off with my family at our cabin. So if it looks like I am ignoring something... I'm just offline for a spell.

I'm always looking for events around my part of the world. Aything in SD/SK/MB/NWO would be of interest. I have a standing offer to buy anyone doing the TCQ a coffee when they reach the mid-point.

Ride safe and I'll see you out there.

Welcome, Dan!
Have you figured out how to carry all your carpentry tools to the cabin on Purple Haze yet?

There is an album (http://members.shaw.ca/canadadan/r75-7/R75-7.htm) on my site.

Working on more pic's... just don't want to stop riding long enough to take them :p

Great looking paintjob.

Also enjoyed the picture of the glowstick spinning and the porta potty bear on your website.

Ride on....
