Bringing home a new R12RT tomorrow..... SO EXCITED, it will be hard to sleep.
Only problem is, I am not sure "everyone" will be as excited.

Hopefully, it will be well received. If not, anyone have a garage apartment I could rent for a few miles of trade?

:clap

I don't know where the heck are you? Fill out more 'Profile Data' I've got a garage and a heated 26' trailer for a spare room...

Welcome to the club! :thumb

I understand the feeling. When I brought home my RT the cage sat at the dealership for a week. Finally someone noticed it wasn't there and asked how I was getting to work, I said "the bike".
She said, "I thought you we're going to wait a year".
I said, " I did"

Then when I was touring the Southwest last spring I traded the RT for a GS.
BMW Motorad called the house to see how Dan liked his new BMW. The soon to be ex-adult supervisor answered " What bike, He doesn't have a new bike, his is an '04" The enthusiastic rep corrected her and said " Oh no, his 2005 1200GS", immediately followed by "I have to go now".

Enjoy your new wheels my friend and welcome.

Let us know where you are. I'm sure there are spots available all over.

If you haven't received approval of the purchase prior to bringing it home, I'm sure the lady of the house will tell you where to park it.

And it won't be in the sunshine.

Good luck!

Well, at least you have a nice fast set of wheels to get out of the way of flying crockery :=)

May the bike be well recieved and the weather fair !

I think you are pulling our chain here a bit.

But if you are not, then next time make your spouse part of the "process".
For example, have spouse pick out the color coordinated road gear and personalized helmet for 2 up riding...or, "what part of the country would spouse like to ride?'. Why not talk up the spa (or???) in or at Essex Junction , VT for the vacation next year? Hey, who cares what you look like in what part of the country as long as you are on two wheels--- (hopefully BMW) right?

If all else fails, and you get run out of town, then make it look like you are leading a parade.

My father owned 25 boats in 40 years, and my mother was placated everytime because the name of many of the boats was "Bea's Mink".

You're bringing home a brand new 1200RT and wondering what she'll think?

What's not to like?

When mine said "I'll never ride on that bike," I said. "Good" and she hasn't and never will even after she started asking to ride. :dunno

Be careful what you ask for, you might get it.
