DarrylRi recommended the Far Western Tavern in Guadalupe.
I had the Bull's Eye steak barbequed over red oak.
It was the best steak I've ever had in my life.

After Thanksgiving dinner in Redondo Beach at my cousin's,
we headed to Malibu to stay with another friend.
They live on top of a mountian above Malibu.

Rode over to the Rock Store on Mulholland on the way home.
I was told, Jay Leno drove by there earlier in his Duesenberg.

Stopped on Hwy 33 just before the Pine Mtn summit and put on

Thanks for the nice report, Burnz. Looks like a nice holiday ride. Appreciate the fresh perpsectives of familiar (to me) scenes. I wish I had a cousin with a house in Malibu. :thumb

At least not on-line. Give you some good bourbon and...well, what happens in the campground stays in the campground.

I think I'm gonna hit the President's Day weekend event this time. I need to be in St. Louis for the MOA BoD meeting the Jan. weekend of Death Valley Daze.

'Zilly,

Nice pictures. Nice report. Yeah, your wife is prettier than you :)

Might have to try for one of those steaks. That sounded very good.

Beeeee u tea full !!!!
Thanks for the reminder. I haven't been out on my bike in two weeks since it snowed around here, it melted, but it's still cold.

Ahhh, Winter on the California Coast, nothing that a pair of long underwear and some heated gloves can't fix. Looking forward to being down in that area Febuary or March.

Burnzy, you suck! Got a pretty wife, live in a magical place, and have all those great riding roads, and wonderful weather to ride them in.

I am sooo jealous. But glad someone can ride and at least give me the pleasure of seeing nice roads.

Thanksgiving here was below 25 degrees, and got 6 inches of snow, but I bet Bouncing Bob had around 10-12 inches of lake effect that day.

Make sure you show up at the Far Western after 3pm, because that's when they fire up the red oak bbq.

Sounds like a big 'ole steak like that might require some planning...and an
overnighter :D
