I'm 6'4" and find the standard pegs on my '87 K100RS have my knees bent more than is comfortable. Can the pegs be lowered on this bike? Is there a standard BMW part for this or do I need an aftermarket kit? Anyone have specific recommendations for a manufacturer or supplier? Thanks in advance!

Drop down by how much? Tradeoffs in ground clearance & brake/shifter access.
I'd think about a plate to remount the entire front/rear peg + brake cylinder/lever ass'y. Still have to deal with shift link and a bracket to hang the muffler & saddle bags back up. Could be same plate just extended back.
Or, I wonder about pivoting the ass'y so the rear peg stays put & drops the front. Just an idea, not necessarily a good one... <<<)))

I know some of the VFR guys are lowering their pegs by putting on Buell pegs. The holes for the pegs are different sizes, but the Buell pegs sit an inch lower than the VFR ones.

Maybe you could do something similar?

I'm in the same boat as you are. Two ways to do it. A sargants seat is about the same height as the stock and alot more comfortable so I got the English pegs - $120.00 from Pirates Liar. There are four pegs in kit. Passenger included. That will drop pegs dpwn about 1 1/2 inches. Need more room?
If you get the RS comfort seat - $205.00 from Chicago BMW -This seat is about 1 inch or 1 1/2 higher than stock and with these pegs will give about 3 extra inches. I just got the rs comfort seat with stock pegs and it fits me will. I have a 32 inch inseam. If you do get the custom pegs, you should also get a shifter lowering extension - about 25 dollars.
Best thing to do. Get Rs Comfort seat and stay with stock pegs. Will probably work for you just fine. :D
