The specs for the new K1200GT are now on-line.
Note the fuel capacity. Only 24 litres. ( 6.3 gallons ). :banghead
More is better in a "Touring" bike.

6.3 gallons? I'd kill for 6 gallons. As long as it get 40 mpg it's good enough for me. Especially with all the 4.5 gallon/35 mpg bikes out there! The big question is how much. I know the R1200RT is getting close to $20,000 with add ons. I might be on another roadster at $10,000 if that is the case.

Claim is ~48 mpg @ 55mph and ~40 mpg @ 75mpg....if it's anything like the old RS/GT, you might get +40 for a short while, but all things considered, you will end up in the 30's most likely.

6.3 gallons + 5 gallon fuel cell = just under the IBA limit. :evil

The bike they showed at EICMA had "xenon lighting system" etched into the headlamp glass.

Buy it, Mark. You've been sniffing around new bikes for three years now.

Mark was sniffing around new bikes before he put the first set of tires on his current ride. :bolt

No not me. I will keep my 03 GT. If I was going to trade it would have to be the R1200ST.Looks like they built a bike for the RT guys who want a four cylinder.

Nah, it was a few thousand miles on the second set. My plans were for a new GS in '06 but after I test ride a new K1200GT it might be a new one of those in '07. Then again a divorce might force me back to my original plan of 10 years or 40,000 miles on the '00.
