I am shopping for a RT and want to know if I have to go with an oil head to get ABS or did any Air Heads come with ABS.

Thanks.

No ABS on airheads. The charging systems won't make enough juice to power all the stuff.

Just out of curiousity, how hard a retrofit would it be? Assuming you put in an Omega, and had enough wattage.

VERY hard! :)

That's what I figured. Mine is due for front rotor replacement, and I just figured I'd dismiss the possibility.

There is a company that sells performance floating rotors for retro fit to older BMWs using the original calipers. Just wish I could remember the name. Help!

Yeah, I'm definitely moving to floaters. I think the EBCs will work okay.

That looks like it might be pricey. Would there be any reason to do it that way as opposed to just replacing the whole thing?

Ill bet that one is more "grippy" than the stock rotor. Can get a floating one also. Too Buku for this budget though.

The early K's offered as an option a fairly simple non-servo-assist ABS system that *MIGHT* in theory be retro-fittable, but will still require some custom work and engineering.
Tha having been said, the K75 fork that later Airheads used had some nice dual-disc Brembos.

With slotted discs? The K had slotted discs. I thought the airheads did not.

No slots. Holes. I meant that my bike has the dual Brembos on the front.
