I'm in the process of bleeding my front breaks and the front right caliper keeps locking up on me and won't release. I have been messing with this all day and I'm really getting pissed.
Same thing happened the other day, it wasn't releasing, and went to take the caliper off and snapped a bolt off in the caliper. Yes I tried the east-out route, and snapped that in the drilled part of the bolt :banghead.
So I took the easy way out, and got a used caliper form Mike @ beemerboneyard. The same thing is happens with the second caliper, so I don't think it's one of the pistons hanging up. I seem to be out of ideas :dunno so I figured I'd turn to you guys.
BTW the left caliper works fine, so I don't think it's anything to do with the master cylinder...

Check the line from the splitter to the caliper. It may have a bubble (in the rubber) internally and not letting the pressure bleed back out. that is what I would check first.

OK, I think I got it figured out...
It was the right caliper that was not releasing, so I switched the hoses from the junction block to the calipers. Left one on the right caliper and vice versa, and the left caliper is now freezing up . So it seems to be a collapsed line.
$42 a piece just for the front lower lines from the dealer, so I think I'll just go all stainless from spiegler for under $200
