It was a dream come true for a motorcyclist from Connecticut.

Mark, Nice ride (color me green - Oh, I already am!!).
I live in North Carolina and know those roads well, except for the Natchez. To string them all together in one trip though is just moto-tastic (new word).
Tell us about the Natchez. How fast can it be 'safely' ridden? I'm thinking about a quick trip in early December.

If you want to see all of my pics CLICK HERE (http://photobucket.com/albums/y300/markkf63/RA%20in%20TN%202005/?start=all)
I did 80 mi. of Skyline Dr after dinner on Monday. The remainder of Skyline Dr plus 410 mi. of the Blue Ridge Pkwy on Tuesday. The remainder of the Blue Ridge Pkwy plus the Foot Hills Pkwy, Deals Gap and Cherohala Skyway before traveling to Shelbyville, TN on Wednesday. Friday I took a ride to Nashville, TN for breakfast at the Loveless Motel & Cafe then a ride on the Natchez Trace Pkwy. I only rode it for a few hours. It was cold, misty and frankly, boring. The road isn't straight but it has very few elevation changes. The speed limit is low, 35-45 MPH. I think you could safely do twice that if it was empty. I found TN 30 a very fun road, too. The best part was sleeping in a tent for a week. Just kidding, I LOVE the Cherohala Skyway! It's a definite must do for motorcyclists.

Unbelievable pictures Mark. I've had the oppurtunity to ride all the scenic byways your showing in the last 20 years. And after seeing your slide show I'm ready to go back and ride them again. If you get the chance in the future to come to Arkansas don't miss out riding Scenic 7 from Hot Springs to Harrison with side runs to Mount Magazine, Mount Nebo, and Eureka Springs. E.S. is rhe Switzerland of the Ozarks. Sweet 16, my own name for Ar. 16, from Searcy to Siloam Springs is over the top. Another can't miss is Talimana Drive fron Mena, Ar. to Talimena. Ok.. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you in Shelbyville at the R.A. Nat.. Outstanding photography.

You're my idol Mark....I 've also ridden all the above but not during the same week, however why didn't you show the parking lot of the Loveless Motel in Nastyville. Keep leaning & twisting buddy, it doesn't get any better than your slide show.
Thnx...

Taking the long way, huh? Maybe we'll actually hook up in VT.

We can make our way to the rally in just two days and we have three weeks to spend, so a little cross country detour to the Blue Ridge and Deals Gap sounded like a nice warm-up. Your pics re-enforced our decision. Thanks again!

I'm sure that your ride was great, was there any sence of overload doing all those great roads on one trip?
Thanks for the pics, yours on the Skyway turned out better than mine.

None at all. I could have kept on going. Only Deals Gap is mentally challenging. I needed a rest after that one.
