I knew it was gonna happen Saturday on the way home from the store so I took the camera in order to make an event out of turning 10k on the Snow Queen. Here is the proof:

I was really happy that the odometer flipped before I entered one of my favorite S curves between the store and the house. I really enjoy taking this one from the West side because you drop down after a nice gentle left and then set up for the hard right part of the S.
Of course I like coming at it from the East because then you get to come out of the S and gas it up the hill with a gentle right at the creast.
Okay, I like S turns.

So here is a really coolio photo of the Snow Queen so you could see what she looks like with 10k.
Oh - check out the dee-luxe Cortech mini-tank bag which has been used every freaking day since it was given to me by the most excellent Lorazo.
I don't use the phrase "tank bag", I prefer "motorcycle purse". It is just big enough that I can bring my lunch, day timer, check book, and what not.

Hey - I know some of you are saying "4 pictures for turning a lousy 10k - geez and dang, what is he gonna do when he puts some serious miles on that machine?"
I dunno....hafta wait and see, won't we?
Anyway, here is the last scene of my small ceremony. I invited some people, but no one showed up, just me n my bike on a great little stretch of road.

i just rolled 19K pulling it into the shop last night for some new rubber, so i'll have to remember to take a picture with it. i'm glad i bought it at 3500 miles, cause its easy for me to figure out total milage for the year/life of the bike.....

congrats cliffy, and here's to many more 10K's on that beautiful rockster!

Cool!

I was hoping to turn 20,000 on my BIG trip but it happened just before I left. I got home today and now it's ready to turn 23,000 as soon as it stops raining. Damn, I just bought those tires and did my 18,000 mile service!

Great pics! BTW, I call my tank bag a purse, too.

Cliffy would ya mind sharing where the curves are over ther please? I go to GR BMW and it would be cool to take a different route occasionally instead of the super slab 96...thanks

No, I'd been planning it for over 300 miles, just hoped I wouldn't miss it when the time came. I was chugging on down hwy 19 Between Victoria and Campbell River B.C. and kept watching it, when it got real close I got off of 19 and on to 19A then I just stopped and took the picture. It was a good move to get on 19A that's the coastal two-lane, not the slab I was on. :D

I'm shooting for the 4's next year... :bliss

I'd bet 333.3 miles to be exact. :ha
