R1200GS Owners Manual

:cry Has anyone out there succesfully replaced their R1200GS owners manual in the stock position ??? !!! ??? :cry

I have tried repeatedly to get that rubber ring to work with no success. I finally gave up, put the ring inside the plastic case, and plopped the case underneath the tool kit.

If anyone knows the secret handshake or whatever to get this thing back on, please let me know ... it is bugging the heck out of me!

I had no problem with the rubber band, but the plastic case that holds the manual cracked and became worthless the third time I used it. Come to think of it, the owners manual is also next to worthless. :dance

I leave my owners manual at home and put my tire repair kit in that spot.
