This being a long week-end for us, we decided to travel to Manitoulin Island (http://www.manitoulin.ca/TIM/default.htm) for another Fall Colour Ride.

The morning started a bit on the chilly side with the Tē at 3C. Our destination would be Gore Bay for brunch. A distance of 200 kms from home.

Although the Tē would gradually warm-up, the winds from the North Channel would keep the ride on the cool side.

My wife is a real trooper but at that point, she was looking forward to her hot chocolate and a bathroom. But not in that order...

Many boats are now put away for another season. While they sit idle for the next six months, I just have to grin at the fact that I'll be enjoying another Rounder season.

PS: Because it was too cold for bugs, I got hit across the head by a small bird... Thank you helmet.

Nice Ride Mike, but it is always Rounder Season.

Ah but when the first crisp breathe of air passes through your nose on your way out on the bike, you know that you're a Rounder.

Mike... Nice report. Always enjoy the combination of blue sky, fall colors, and water. Beautiful. FWIW, here in the Colorado mountains we're getting 12 inches of snow tonight. What a difference versus your day. But it is a wet snow and will be off the roads by Tuesday.

BTW, I must have missed your acquisition of an R1200RT!?! :clap. I rented one of these things on a ride through Belgium and France back in June and had a fantastic time. Never considered myself much of an RT kind of rider but the R12RT has altered my thinking. Yours is the color I had and would be the one I'd get. Great isn't it, and again, nice report.
