Just got my October issue of the BMW MOA magazine today with the great shot of future BMW MOA members shown on the cover. At first I thought "too bad my son Cameron isn't on this" 'cause he was hanging around with these kids during the rally. Then (proud pop moment :bliss) I saw his mug, outta sight :thumb ! To say he was jazzed when he saw it :dance would be a vast understatement! He doesn't have a BMW yet, but he wants to be a BMW MOA member. I'll have to give him honorary ownership of my '93 K11RS till he's proficient enough to ride it. Thanks BMW MOA for making his and my day. BTW, does anyone know Ed Zweizig's (you out there Ed?) e-mail address? Cameron wants to send him a thank you for taking the photo.

They got the name and state of one of the young men in the picture wrong. The boy in the center with his hand on his chin is Dylan Parish and is the son of Greg and Lisa Parish of Hot springs Ar.. I'ts a great picture showing the future riders of BMW MOA.

Proud mamas and papas can email me for extra copies or to get in touch with the Zweizigs. I'll be happy to forward emails to them.

Please please please! Let's try to get this same picture, same people every five years, more or less on the cover after each national. Having taught High School for 31 years and raising five children myself, I feel I know every one of those kids (young men and women)! When going to rallies I notice more and more how old everyone seems to be getting. The future of motorcycling is on that front cover. I have six grandsons going in every direction and it is a wonderful experience watching them grow and develop into wholesome adults.
We really don't have to worry about the future when we have great young people like this coming along. You ask me how I know? Believe me, I know!! :thumb

Hey! I was surprised too! The picture was fantastic and have heard quite a few comments on it.

The thought of the future picture is a great idea! I know that Alex Smith, my son (top left - RED streak in hair) is going to be involved in riding for many, many years to come. Looking for an airhead basket case for him as we speak.
