I was planning on checking this out, and was wondering if any of you folks would be attending. Also would be interested in hearing from anyone who rode years 1-4.

Hey Boingo and/or Kbasa - make sure you take some pictures or steal some from someone else, okay?

Dang, didn't know we could include words referring to copulating with parents!

That may be difficult while you are amongst the Redwoods and Fungi.

Awesome! I like the one of the Nimbus. There's a guy in Pt. Reyes Station with a Nimbus that's equipped with a sidecar.

Good eye, that was my personal favorite. The pride of Copenhagen. I saw one last year at the international bike show very similar to this one. Have to keep my eyes peeled for the Point Reyes setup.

Someday, I will have a Nimbus of my very own :evil

Neato frames on them. I think that's why I like them so much.

Turns out that Denmark has rather punitive taxes on new vehicles not manufactured there. Needless to say, not many vehicles are made in Denmark, so the Danes work hard at keeping what they have, running.

I met a Danish couple in '97 who drove a 1958 BMW Isetta "Limosine" (that is to say, the 600cc, 2 door version) as a daily driver.

We have friends in Copenhagen, and they showed me that there are several Nimbus "dealers" there. We dropped in on one of them. He had 5 Nimbi (is that the plural?) in the courtyard, 2 with sidecars. He was also servicing a Saab 56, if that's right, the one that was made just after the war an looks like a 3/4s scale Hudson. Anyway, there is no duty to bring in a Nimbus...

Great info, thanks DarrylRi! It turns out I have family living in Copenhagen and throughout Denmark. I will have to call in favors and get some prices. I was last over in 2001, but that was before I was a Nimbolic.
