Does anyone have any experience installing a belly pan on an R1100S? I like the look of the BoxerCup but I also want to keep the centerstand and it doesn't look like the belly pan allows that.

no help with the instal, cutting carbon fiber is hard, i don't think you'll get around removing the centerstand...........

There are actually two kinds of factory belly pans for the S. There's the BCR variety, which precludes the use of a centerstand and another type, that is composed of 4 parts that allows the use of a belly pan. I just sold my old CF belly pan for $250, so you can figure on spending about that to get a used one.

I'd try and find one of those. It covers pretty much the same stuff as the BCR version, but it doesn't come as high up over the transmission.

I'm afraid a modified shovel isn't sexy enough for my new bike. Does anyone know how much BMW will stroke me for the Replika belly pan? And while I'm asking, can anyone recommend a good mail order company for BMW parts and accesories?

And while I'm asking, can anyone recommend a good mail order company for BMW parts and accesories?

I've ordered from ascycles.com a few times. Their search function is only so-so, but apart from that it worked well. My local dealer (Bob's BMW) claims to have the largest stock of bmw parts and they do sell online (bobsbmw.com), but I've only picked up parts locally so I cannot tell you how well mail ordering from them works. In general I'm very positive about them though. What I normally do is google the bmw part number surrounded by quotes. That gives you hardly any unrelated matches and allows you to quickly compare some prices.

Flash, I love the shovel. Tell us more in another thread - I do not want to hijack this one. I am curious on process, demensions etc. I really enjoy seeing unusual applications of things from one field to another.
